New Mexico AG Opens Criminal Probe Into Bodies Buried at Epstein Ranch

New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez (D) has ordered an investigation into alleged illegal activity at a remote ranch previously owned by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the New Mexico Department of Justice confirmed Thursday.¹

The investigation centers on an allegation that two bodies were buried on the property, according to the attorney general’s office.¹ The department confirmed the probe represents a reopening of an inquiry into the ranch.¹

Torrez directed the investigation after reviewing documents contained in recently released court files related to the Epstein case, according to a department statement.¹ The investigation focuses on Zorro Ranch, a property Epstein previously owned in New Mexico.¹

The New Mexico Department of Justice described the ranch as remote and confirmed that authorities had previously examined alleged illegal activity at the location.¹
