Andrés Pastrana

Andrés Pastrana Arango (born 17 August 1954) is a Colombian politician who served as President of Colombia from 1998 to 2002, following his father Misael Pastrana Borrero, who was president from 1970 to 1974. A member of the Colombian Conservative Party, Pastrana had previously been Mayor of Bogotá and later served as Colombia’s Ambassador to the United States from 2005 to 2006.

Pastrana’s name appears in connection with Jeffrey Epstein through a 2003 register of the flight logbook of Epstein’s private jet. According to Colombia Reports (August 14, 2019), Pastrana was recorded on a 2003 flight; the outlet reported that the logbook flight traveled from Carabobo, Venezuela, to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. Colombia Reports quoted Pastrana’s own account of the trip: “I have appeared in the registry on a flight of mine on his plane to Nassau, Bahamas, for a stop-over with the final destination of Havana, Cuba, at the invitation of President.” The same report noted that Pastrana denied knowing anything of any sexual abuse of minors.

The matter resurfaced after the U.S. Justice Department released materials related to Epstein. Colombia Reports (December 22, 2025) described the release of an image and a witness statement attributed to Ghislaine Maxwell, and reported that Pastrana “was first linked to criminal investigations in 2019 when leaked documents showed flight logs that put Pastrana on Epstein’s private aircraft in 2003.” According to that report, Pastrana responded to the renewed scrutiny by attacking Colombian President Gustavo Petro rather than addressing the allegations directly, stating: “I am not intimidated by a pedophile, [Gustavo Petro], who surrounds himself with child rapists.”

Is Andrés Pastrana in the Epstein files?
