Brock Pierce

Brock Pierce (born November 14, 1980) is an American cryptocurrency entrepreneur and former child actor. He acted in Disney films including The Mighty Ducks (1992) and First Kid (1996) before leaving acting, then built a career in digital entertainment and cryptocurrency. He co-founded Tether in 2014, founded Blockchain Capital in 2013, and co-founded Block.one, which released the EOS.IO software. He ran as an independent candidate in the 2020 US presidential election.

In February 2026, several outlets reported that emails between Pierce and Jeffrey Epstein appeared in newly released US Department of Justice documents. The crypto news outlet Protos (February 2, 2026) reported that Pierce and Epstein first connected at the 2011 Mindshift Conference held on Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James, where Pierce’s cryptocurrency presentation drew Epstein’s attention. Protos and Fortune (February 6, 2026) both reported that, as a managing partner at Crypto Currency Partners — later rebranded Blockchain Capital — Pierce advised Epstein on crypto investments, and that in late 2014 Pierce contacted Epstein about investing in Coinbase’s Series C round. CoinDesk (published February 4, 2026) reported that, per the files, Pierce wrote to Epstein on December 2, 2014, describing the Coinbase opportunity as “the most platinum-plated deal in the space,” and that Epstein invested roughly $3 million through a US Virgin Islands entity. Protos and Fortune reported that Epstein later sold part of that stake in 2018.

Protos also reported that, in a May 2012 episode described in the files, Epstein asked Pierce during a trip to “Moscow, Kiev, and Odessa” to “take photos and find me a present,” after which Pierce emailed Epstein photographs of a Ukrainian woman named Anastasia, writing that “Ukraine is now my favorite country.” Regarding any response, Fortune reported that Pierce, who left Blockchain Capital in 2017, “did not immediately respond to a request for comment,” and Protos said it reached out to Pierce for comment without a published reply. A Blockchain Capital spokesperson told Fortune that “Mr. Epstein has never been an investor in any Blockchain Capital fund.” Fortune stated that “neither Pierce, Blockchain Capital, nor Coinbase have been linked to any wrongdoing with Epstein.”
