David Blaine

David Blaine is an American illusionist, mentalist, and endurance performer. He rose to prominence with televised magic specials beginning with Street Magic in 1997 and is widely known for high-profile endurance stunts, including being sealed in a Plexiglas box suspended over London’s River Thames for 44 days in 2003 and setting a Guinness World Record for breath-holding in 2008.

Blaine is named in the Jeffrey Epstein files. The released files showed a years-long correspondence with Epstein and regular dinners between 2012 and 2016, and in 2015 Blaine agreed to write a letter of support for a U.S. visa application for an unidentified woman. The Irish Times, reporting on the released records, said the correspondence and regular dinners ran from 2012 to 2016 — years after Epstein’s 2008 Florida conviction — and that in May 2015 Epstein asked Blaine to write a support letter for a woman’s U.S. visa, which Blaine agreed to do; the woman’s name and the recipient of the request were redacted in the files. The Irish Times also reported a 2013 exchange in which Epstein asked Blaine, “Is your French girl in town,” to which Blaine replied, “I will stop by. She just landed so jet lagged.”

The Irish Times reported that Blaine “did not respond to requests for comment.” Both the Irish Times and IBTimes UK note that being named in the files is not an indication of wrongdoing, and IBTimes UK states that “neither Blaine nor Copperfield has ever been charged with any crime related to Epstein.”

Is David Blaine in the Epstein files?

As reported by the Irish Times (Feb. 2026), the correspondence runs from 2012 to 2016 and includes a May 2015 exchange in which Epstein asked Blaine to write a support letter for a woman’s U.S. visa application, which Blaine agreed to do.
