Doug Band

Doug Band (Douglas Jay Band) is an American businessman and lawyer. He began as an unpaid intern in the White House Counsel’s Office in 1995 and rose to serve as a Deputy Assistant to President Bill Clinton and later as a counselor to the former president. He is a founding partner and former president of the advisory firm Teneo, from which he retired in December 2020.

The Independent Florida Alligator reported (January 19, 2026, by Alexa Ryan) that flight logs released by the U.S. Department of Justice “show Band took over 35 flights with Epstein and Maxwell from 2002 to 2005, including at least two in which the three were the only listed passengers on board.” Released flight records indicate that Band “traveled on the airplane 26 times,” including two flights on June 14, 2003 with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell but without Clinton.

The Alligator further reported that 2005 emails “showed a discussion of a $35,000 Audemars Piguet watch Epstein and Maxwell wanted to give Band,” and quoted a message in which Band reacted, “If its bc he wants to buy me one then no can do.” The same article quoted a 2002-era email from Maxwell to Band reading, “Let me know when you next go to Europe as I do have some interesting and fun friends that you could hook up with.” According to the Alligator, Band “did not respond to requests for comment on his relationship with Epstein,” and an intermediary close to him said on January 10 that Band would not respond to requests for comment.

Separately, Newsweek reported (January 2, 2024) that in 2020 Band told Vanity Fair that the former president visited Epstein’s island in January 2003, adding that Band said he did not accompany Clinton; a Clinton spokesperson responded that the former president had never been to the island.

Is Doug Band in the Epstein files?
