Sergey Brin is an American computer scientist and businessman who co-founded Google with Larry Page in 1998. Born in Moscow in 1973, he immigrated to the United States as a child and developed the PageRank algorithm with Page while a graduate student at Stanford University. He is a board member and controlling shareholder of Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, and is among the wealthiest people in the world.
Brin’s name appears in reporting on the documents commonly referred to as the Epstein files. According to PBS NewsHour, in 2003 Ghislaine Maxwell invited Brin to a film screening and later to a dinner at Jeffrey Epstein’s home, which she described as “happily casual and relaxed.” The reporting states that Brin made plans to meet Epstein and Maxwell at Epstein’s New York townhouse and offered to bring Google’s then-CEO, Eric Schmidt, to the dinner. PBS NewsHour reported that Google representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
The released files indicate that Brin visited Epstein’s private island and corresponded with Maxwell about attending dinners at Epstein’s home.
