Steven Elliot Tisch (born February 14, 1949) is an American film producer and a co-owner of the New York Giants. He has served as chairman and executive vice president of the Giants, a franchise his family co-owns, and is a two-time Super Bowl champion as an owner (Super Bowls XLII and XLVI). As a film producer he won a Best Picture Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Forrest Gump, and his other credits include Risky Business, American History X, and Snatch. His father was Preston Robert Tisch, a businessman who also served as U.S. Postmaster General.

Tisch’s connection to the Jeffrey Epstein record stems from email correspondence released by the U.S. Department of Justice. ESPN reported that Tisch’s name appears at least 440 times among the released documents, with most of the correspondence dating to around 2013, drawn from a release of more than three million Epstein-related records. According to reporting by CBS Sports and Front Office Sports, the emails showed Epstein connecting Tisch with women and exchanging assessments of them. CBS Sports reported exchanges in which Tisch asked whether one woman was a “pro or civilian,” asked of another “Working girl?” — to which Epstein replied “Never” — and in which Epstein offered post-meeting reports, including a message describing a woman as “a little freaked by the age difference.” Front Office Sports reported related 2013 exchanges, including Tisch asking “Is my present in NYC?” and Epstein describing a woman as “(Tahitian) speaks mostly french exotic.” The released correspondence also includes an email in which Epstein, following up about a woman from Ukraine, wrote, “she is a little freaked by the age difference but go slow.”

Tisch responded with a public statement, quoted by CBS Sports, Front Office Sports, and ESPN: “We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments. I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.” The NFL said it was aware of the reports and Tisch’s response and that, in its words, “Our office will look into the matter to understand the facts,” with Commissioner Roger Goodell saying the league would gather the facts before deciding whether to open a formal investigation, according to ESPN. On March 11, 2026, Tisch and his siblings Laurie and Jonathan requested NFL approval to transfer their ownership stakes in the Giants to their children’s trusts; Tisch is expected to remain involved with the franchise until any transfer is approved.

Is Steve Tisch in the Epstein files?

Yes. Steve Tisch appears in the Epstein record through email correspondence, largely from 2013, released by the U.S. Department of Justice, in which Epstein connected him with women and the two exchanged assessments of them — including the “pro or civilian” and “Working girl?” exchanges — as documented by CBS Sports, Front Office Sports, and ESPN. ESPN reported his name appears at least 440 times among the released documents. Tisch has said he had “a brief association” with Epstein, did not take up his invitations, never visited his island, and “deeply regret[s]” associating with him. The NFL has said it will examine the matter, and Tisch and his siblings have requested to transfer their Giants ownership stakes to their children’s trusts. Tisch has not been charged with any crime related to Epstein.

Being named or appearing in connection with the files is not evidence of any crime or wrongdoing. People appear in this record in many contexts — flight logs, correspondence, contact books, scheduling, photographs, or passing references.
