Glenn Dubin is a billionaire hedge fund manager who, with Henry Swieca, co-founded Highbridge Capital Management in 1992. JPMorgan acquired a majority interest in the firm in 2004 and completed its purchase in later years. Dubin had a decades-long personal and social relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Family Connections to Epstein

Dubin’s wife, Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, was named Miss Sweden in 1980 and was a fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe 1980 contest before becoming a physician. She dated Epstein from 1981 to 1990, beginning their relationship before her marriage to Dubin. In a statement submitted on Epstein’s behalf during his 2008 plea negotiations, Andersson-Dubin said Epstein was “a very close and important friend to my family” and “the godfather of my three children.” Multiple reputable outlets report that Epstein was godfather to the Dubins’ children.

Court records from the Giuffre v. Maxwell litigation include 2016 deposition testimony from Rinaldo Rizzo, a former household manager for the Dubins. Rizzo testified that in 2005, Epstein and Maxwell brought a teenage girl who said she was 15 to the Dubin home, and that Eva Andersson-Dubin told the girl she would work for the family as a nanny. The Dubins disputed Rizzo’s account.

Virginia Giuffre’s Allegations

Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers, testified in a 2016 deposition that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell directed her to have sexual contact with Dubin, whom she described as the first man she was sent to. Her testimony was given as part of her civil litigation against Ghislaine Maxwell. The Harvard Crimson, reporting on the unsealed records, noted that “the available court record contains no direct evidence substantiating the allegations against Dubin.”

Glenn and Eva Andersson-Dubin categorically denied the allegations. A spokesperson said: “Glenn and Eva Dubin are outraged by the allegations against them in the unsealed court records and categorically reject them.” When the allegations resurfaced in 2024, a Dubin spokesperson called them “unsubstantiated statements” and said the Dubins “strongly deny these allegations.” Dubin’s representatives have also said he provided flight records to rebut Giuffre’s account.

Giuffre’s allegations were detailed in court documents unsealed in August 2019 and again in a rolling release that began on January 3, 2024.

Social and Financial Ties

The Dubins were part of Epstein’s social circle. According to flight records, they flew on Epstein’s planes at least 18 times between 1996 and 2005, often with their children. Epstein invested in Dubin’s hedge fund. The Dubins continued to socialize with Epstein after his 2008 guilty plea; Andersson-Dubin told Epstein’s probation officer she was comfortable with him being around her children.

What Is Established

Dubin has never been charged with any crime, and he and his wife have categorically denied Virginia Giuffre’s allegations. What is documented is a decades-long relationship with Epstein that included Andersson-Dubin’s prior relationship with him, his role as godfather to the couple’s children, flights on Epstein’s aircraft, and contact that continued after Epstein’s 2008 conviction. Giuffre’s allegations against Dubin were made in deposition testimony but have not been tested at trial, and reporting on the unsealed records noted no direct corroborating evidence in the court file.

  • Giuffre v. Maxwell — unsealed court records (Jan. 2024) — Dubin is named in records unsealed in this civil case (U.S. District Court, S.D.N.Y., No. 1:15-cv-07433). In her deposition, Virginia Giuffre testified that “Ghislaine told me to go to Glenn Dubin and give him a massage,” and a filing states that Giuffre “implicated… Glen Dubin, as someone who was involved in Defendant and Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.” The records also reference Maxwell’s friendship with Dubin’s wife, Eva Dubin, and testimony by the Dubins’ former butler. Dubin’s representatives have called the claims “categorically false.”
