Subrata Roy built Sahara Group into one of India’s largest conglomerates. The Supreme Court of India sentenced him to jail in 2014 for contempt after his company failed to refund billions to investors. Roy died in 2023.

The Indian names join international figures named in Epstein’s records. Congressional subpoenas have targeted UK politician Lord Peter Mandelson, and Dubai’s DP World chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem resigned after his name appeared more than 4,700 times in the files.
The FBI maintains thousands of files still under review as part of the 3.5 million pages, 180,000 images, and 2,000 videos mandated for release. Each document release has named additional figures who appeared in Epstein’s records between his 2008 conviction and his death.
